A superb starting hole with tiger country on the left of the fairway. Turn the dog leg to catch a view of the green with undulations surrounding the back of the green. Lateral water hazard to the right.
HOLE 2 - Moumoukai

133 metres par.3. ( named after a landmark mountain at Morere).
Elevated teeing ground, water hazard on right, hilly if you are out the back of the green.
HOLE 3 - Blue Bay
370 metre Par.4. ( named after the bay at Opoutama, and a once popular camping ground.)
Nice view of the beach and Mokotahi and the village of Mahia from the tee. Lateral water hazards on both sides of fairway. Cut the corner and you are in the drink! Green surrounded by out of bounds.
HOLE 4 - Devil's Elbow

327 metres Par 4. ( named after the well known area of road between Wairoa and Napier) and reflects the angle of the hole.
Once again lateral water hazards on both sides of the fairway.

Heading back towards the clubhouse. Straight hole, but still a little tricky.

190 metre Par.3. ( so named because in the early days when locater beacons for the ships were on the hills behind the green).

295 metre Par.4. (Named after the station where the Mahia Golf Club was originally located).
